Police arrest two, seize $20K worth of drugs

The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) have seized a large quantity of drugs after responding to a call last night. 

Around 10:30 p.m. on May 23 the MJPS were called to a disturbance. Allegedly, several people with weapons were seen leaving a house and fleeing in a vehicle. 

Police were able to locate the vehicle in the area and conducted a vehicle stop. According to police, there were weapons in plain view inside the vehicle. The occupants were detained. An investigation resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl inside the vehicle. 

As a result, Jeffrey Cross of Regina was charged with breach of undertaking. He has warrants from Regina. Cross was released and will attend court at a later date.  

Andrew Loos, also of Regina, was charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine, possession of fentanyl, possession of weapon dangerous to public, and breach of undertaking. He was released on numerous conditions. Loos will attend court at a later date.

Police ended up seizing 205 grams of methamphetamine, 13 grams of cocaine, and seven grams of fentanyl. Police estimate the approximate street value of the drugs is $20,000. 

No other details have been released. Police continue to investigate.
