Police arrest ‘suspicious person’ for possessing prohibited firearms, ammo

Police arrested and charged Arlen Cronan after investigating a 'suspicious person/vehicle' in northeast Moose Jaw recently.

The Moose Jaw Police Service has arrested a 22-year-old resident for possessing several firearms and ammunition, even though he was prohibited at the time.

Officers attended to a “suspicious person/vehicle” in the northeast corner of the city on Sept. 20, where, upon further investigation, they arrested Arlen Cronan. Police charged Cronan with possessing numerous firearms and ammunition, along with several counts of breaching his firearm prohibition.

Police also seized several long-barrel firearms along with ammunition.

Cronan appeared in Provincial Court on Sept. 21.
