Police arrest man for alleged thefts and stabbing

Police arrested Frederick Hafner, 31, on March 26 and charged him with robbery, assault with a weapon, uttering death threats and two counts of breaching court orders.

The Moose Jaw Police Service has arrested a 31-year-old man after responding to two separate incidents that left two people injured and their property missing.

Police received a call on March 26 around 10 p.m. about a report of a robbery on the 0 block of Stadacona Street West. Upon arrival, officers located one victim who had sustained minor injuries during the robbery.

Shortly after, police travelled to an area near Ninth Avenue Northwest for a report of a stabbing. Officers arrived and located a male with minor injuries consistent with being stabbed.

Further investigation by officers led to the arrest of Frederick Hafner, who was charged with robbery, assault with a weapon, uttering death threats and two counts of breaching court orders.

Hafner was remanded into custody and will appear in court later to answer to his charges.
