More local businesses and services will be opening their doors today.

June 8 marks the beginning of Phase 3 of the province’s Re-Open Saskatchewan plan. This phase includes places of worship, restaurants and licensed establishments, gyms and fitness facilities, child care facilities, and personal care services that did not open during Phase 2.

Of course, there are several guidelines and restrictions in place that each business or service must follow. This includes restaurants opening to just 50 per cent capacity.

For a full list of guidelines, visit www.saskatchewan.ca/re-open. While most of the rules in place are meant for business operators and service providers, the government encourages the public to read the guidelines in order to have a better understanding of what to expect.

Playgrounds remain closed, although measures are currently being developed so they can safely be reopened. More information may be released sometime this week.

The government has not yet set a date for Phase 4, but has suggested the fifth and final phase may not take place until June 2021. The fourth phase will include outdoor pools and spray parks, libraries and museums, movie theatres, casinos, bingo halls, and more.
