Permits worth $76.7 million issued by City of Moose Jaw

Construction activity within the City of Moose Jaw continues far ahead of last year’s pace.

Permits issued by city hall to the end of July of $76.7 million were up 74 per cent from the same period in 2021.

July permits worth $3.5 million increased 43 per cent over last July.

Housing makes up just over 10 per cent of permits this year with 19 permits for single family residences worth $7.88 million compared with 24 permits worth $9.9 million last year. In July four new houses worth $1.72 million were started while one worth $556,000 was started last July.

Major permits issued during July were $1.482 million for a restaurant on Thatcher Drive East, and $30,000 for a storage building by Holy Trinity School Division on 13th Avenue Northeast.
