ParkArt, the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery’s largest and longest-running annual fundraiser, returns to Crescent Park to showcase the creative talents of artists from near and far.
This year’s ParkArt fundraiser takes place on Friday, July 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This marks the first time since 2019 that the event has occurred, after the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled the past two years.
The museum and art gallery (MJMAG) expects more than 4,000 people will attend this year’s fundraiser, which will see more than 40 booths of high-quality handmade artworks and crafts by artists and artisans from Moose Jaw and across Western Canada.
“There is something for every taste available, from paintings to pillows, metal sculptures to jewellery, cookies to woodworking,” the organization said.
Free Crescent Park activity kids will be available for kids throughout the day. Admission is $5 or free for youths under age 12.
ParkArt is in the northwest corner of Crescent Park, just outside the doors of the library and museum and art gallery.
To complement the day, other Canada Day activities hosted by the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Canada Day Family Festivities group will occur throughout the rest of the park.
