The ACT/UCT Local 1027 service club recently presented a cheque for $500 to Kurtis Harrower of Moose Jaw at a fundraiser held at The Crushed Can in May.

Kurtis will soon travel to Edmonton for a heart transplant, and the funds will help Kurtis and his young family with miscellaneous costs. The club has provided support for Kurtis on an ongoing basis.

"We are pleased to be able to help Kurtis out in a challenging time. He's a great kid. Personally, I want to see him enjoy KC Chiefs games with his kids when he is an old man!", said Mark Gilliland, ACT/UCT Local 1027 president.
