One new case, two more recoveries

There is just one new case of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan to report today, June 16.

The new case is in the Saskatoon region.
 
There are now 684 reported COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan, including 40 active cases. 

Two more people have recovered, for a total of 631.
 
Two people are receiving inpatient care — including one person in the North and another in Saskatoon.  One person is in intensive care in Saskatoon.
 
Of the 684 cases in the province:

  • 146 cases are travellers;
  • 409 are community contacts (including mass gatherings);
  • 81 have no known exposures; and
  • 48 are under investigation by local public health.

On a regional level, 277 of the cases are from the Far North, 182 are from the Saskatoon area, 112 from the North, 80 from the Regina area, 19 from the South, and 12 from the Central region.

Thirteen deaths have been reported to date.
 
A total of 56,715 COVID‐19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.
