Nine residents appointed to four city advisory boards, committees

Council initially approved a recommendation during its Sept. 11 executive meeting to nominate individuals to the boards and committees, while it officially confirmed their appointments during its Sept. 25 regular meeting.

City council officially named nine residents to four committees during its recent regular meeting.

Council initially approved a recommendation during its Sept. 11 executive meeting to nominate individuals to the boards and committees, while it officially confirmed their appointments after approving the executive minutes during its Sept. 25 regular meeting. 

Accessible community advisory committee

Stephen Lewry with Moose Jaw Special Olympics, Steve Seida with Diversified Services, Brooklyn Rice with Families for Change, Christine Boyczuk and Carolyn Graham (as alternate) with Moose Jaw Age-Friendly Community, Kelly Sapergia with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind Community, and Shevaun Ruby (citizen at large) have been appointed to the accessible community advisory committee — formerly the special needs advisory committee — starting immediately and concluding Dec. 31, 2025 or until a successor is appointed.

Cultural diversity advisory committee

Jennifer Mitchell (citizen at large) and Abhishek Jain with Saskatchewan Polytechnic have been appointed to the cultural diversity advisory committee starting immediately and concluding on Dec. 31, 2025, or until a successor is appointed.

Parks, recreation and facilities advisory committee

Mitchell (citizen at large) has been appointed to the parks, recreation and facilities advisory committee starting immediately and concluding on Dec. 31, 2025, or until a successor is appointed.

Moose Jaw Municipal Airport Authority

Patricia (Trish) Martynook (citizen at large) has been appointed to the Moose Jaw Municipal Airport Authority starting immediately and concluding on Dec. 31, 2025, or until a successor is appointed.

The next regular council meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 10.
