City council appointed Selena Kirzinger as the new development officer for the City of Moose Jaw during the Jan. 25 regular council meeting.
Kirzinger, who started working for the city on Jan. 11 as a planner 1, will now be able to administer and enforce all aspects of the zoning bylaw, including development permits and building permits and the criteria that go with them.
According to Section 3.5 of the bylaw, “The development officer shall be the city engineer, the city planner, the manager of engineering services or any other employee of the city authorized in writing by the council to act as a development officer for the purposes of this bylaw and the act.”
The next regular council meeting is Monday, Feb. 1.
