MOOSE JAW — One of rock and roll’s most iconic bands is set to bid farewell — and they’ve chosen Moose Jaw as one of their final stops.
Legendary Scottish rock band Nazareth will perform at the Temple Gardens Centre on Thursday, Oct. 17, as part of their Canadian Farewell Tour. The concert promises to be a high-octane celebration of the band’s decades-long legacy and a rare chance for fans to see the trailblazing group one last time.
Formed in 1968, Nazareth became one of the pioneering forces in hard rock, earning international acclaim for powerhouse hits such as “Love Hurts,” “Hair of the Dog,” and “This Flight Tonight.” Over the years, the group has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and cemented their place in music history with a sound that helped define a generation.
Joining Nazareth as a special guest is Canadian rocker Lee Aaron, known affectionately by fans as the “Metal Queen.” With a career spanning more than three decades, Aaron brings her own legacy of powerful vocals and genre-crossing talent to the stage. After rising through the rock and metal scene in the 1980s, she later gained critical acclaim as a jazz and blues artist before returning to her rock roots.
Her signature songs — including “Metal Queen” and “Whatcha Do to My Body” — remain staples of Canadian rock radio and are sure to bring extra energy to what’s expected to be a memorable night.
The concert is presented by Rocklands Entertainment, whose previous shows in Moose Jaw have included performances by Glass Tiger, The Stampeders, and April Wine.
With a history that spans continents and generations, Nazareth’s final tour offers Moose Jaw fans a rare chance to say goodbye in person and to celebrate one of rock’s most enduring acts in the intimate setting of the Temple Gardens Centre.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through the Temple Gardens Centre box office or online at SaskTix.ca. Tickets are expected to sell quickly due to the limited number of stops on Nazareth’s farewell tour and the band’s longstanding fan base across the Prairies.
The Temple Gardens Centre is located at 110 First Avenue Northwest.
