It might be one of the biggest events on the sports calendar and something folks have been looking forward to celebrating for a long time, but regardless of what happens on Super Bowl Sunday, COVID-19 still exists.

And with that, so do the ongoing Saskatchewan government public health orders.

The Moose Jaw Police Service wish to remind revellers of that fact, and that limits on the size of gatherings in businesses, public spaces and residences continue to be in effect in order to reduce the spread of coronavirus in the community.

To that end, members of the MJPS will be conducting checks to ensure gatherings do not exceed limits described in the current PHO, which was updated on Jan. 26 and can be found by clicking right here.

Individuals can be fined $2,800 for breaking the order; businesses doing the same can face a $14,000 charge.

The Moose Jaw Police Service thanks everybody for continuing to protect the health and safety of our fellow community members by following the guidelines of the COVID-19 Public Health Order.
