Moose Jaw Police Service will host a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) blitz on July 12 and 13 in the Moose Jaw area.

Police from around Saskatchewan will work alongside partner agencies to identify traffic violations and take enforcement action. This two-day initiative will take place at various locations around Moose Jaw.

Enforcement activities will focus on offences related to impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving, seatbelt use, unlicensed drivers and commercial vehicle standards.

STEP is a multi-agency task force dedicated to improving traffic safety across Saskatchewan. Members include municipal police agencies, the RCMP, Saskatchewan Highway Patrol, Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Police, and representatives from SGI and the Ministries of Justice and Finance.
