Moose Jaw Police arrest man wanted for assault, confinement charges

The Moose Jaw Police Service have located and arrested  Frederick James Hafner early this morning, according to a press release. 

At approximately 8:30 a.m., Hafner was found at a motel on the 1000 block of Athabasca Street East, where he was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. The MJPS K9 unit was involved. 

The MJPS recently shared Hafner' information on their Facebook page, asking for the public’s help in locating him. 

Hafner was wanted for several warrants from the Moose Jaw Police and Regina Police Service, including two counts of unlawful confinement, assault with a weapon and theft and robbery. 

He will be remanded into custody, where he will remain until his court appearance at a later date.

MJPS are continuing to investigate.
