Action from the last time a fastball tournament was held at Optimist Park in 2019.
When the Moose Jaw Ice ‘A’ fastball teams took the field for their annual tournament at Optimist Park in the summer of 2019, little did they know it would be another two years before they’d be able to do so again.

Now, as the pandemic finally begins to wane, some of the top teams in the province will descend on the local girls fastball complex this weekend for three days of fun in the sun and -- finally! -- a full tournament of competition.

All three ‘A’ teams in the Under-12, U14 and U16 divisions will take part and will be joined by the U16 B team for the event.

Action kicks off on Friday at 6:30 p.m., as the U12 Ice will take on the Regina Royals Panthers on Diamond 3, the U14 Ice battle the Regina Royals Rattlers on Diamond 2 and the U16 B Ice duel the Regina Fighting Saints on Diamond 1.

The U16 A Ice will close out the first day of competition at 8:30 p.m. against the Melfort Spirit on Diamond 2.

Games will continue throughout the day Saturday, with the playoff round beginning at 12 p.m. Sunday.

There will be a $5 daily gate admission, or $10 for the full weekend.
