Police in Quebec arrested a man at the Montreal International Airport on April 18 in connection to a Canada-wide warrant that originated out of Gravelbourg, Sask.

Robert Charbonneau, 67, was charged in 2007 with fraud over $5,000 under section 380 of the Criminal Code. Gravelbourg RCMP received a complaint in 2005 about alleged fraud in 2004 and 2005 involving a school and involving a significant amount of money, according to a news release.

Charbonneau failed to appear in court to respond to the charge, which resulted in a nationwide warrant issued in 2007 for his arrest.

Charbonneau is in custody in Montreal. He appeared in court on April 19 and will re-appear on April 24.
