Approximately $21,000 of cocaine and multiple illegal handguns are off the streets following an investigation that resulted in three arrests and several drug and weapons charges.

Yesterday at approximately 2 p.m., as part of an ongoing drug investigation, the Moose Jaw Police Service conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Lillooet Street West.

A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a handgun, as well as what police described a large sum of Canadian currency, and a large amount of cocaine with a street value of $9,000.

As a result, an adult female from Moose Jaw has been charged with trafficking cocaine and several firearms-related offences. An adult male from Calgary faces similar charges, as well as proceeds of crime and obstruction. The male also had numerous warrants for his arrest in Alberta.

As part of the investigation, police then executed a search warrant in the 800 block of Hochelaga Street East at approximately 11:45 last night.

Police arrested an adult male leaving the residence. The accused allegedly had a concealed handgun, a large sum of Canadian currency, and a large amount of cocaine.

The cocaine has a street value of $12,000.

This person, an adult male from Calgary, has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime, and numerous firearms-related offences.

All three are being held for court. Police continue to investigate.
