The players are making their way into town, the advertising boards are up, the dugouts are painted and the Moose Jaw Miller Express are just about ready to kick of the 2019 Western Canadian Baseball League campaign.
The local squad – under the guidance of new head coach Rich Sorensen – will take to the field at Ross Wells Park for their home opener against the Melville Millionaires on Wednesday at 7 p.m.. Be sure to get to the park early for the pre-game ceremonies and opening pitch of the season!
The contest kicks off a busy week as the Express are in Swift Current on Thursday and host the 57s on Friday before taking on the Yorkton Cardinals on Saturday and Sunday, with the second game of the weekend set slated for 4 p.m.
Their first off day is Monday, followed by a full slate of games from June 4 through 8.
