Saskatchewan's Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty has provided a message for Remembrance Day.

"One hundred and two years ago, on November 11th at 11 a.m., an Armistice agreement ended the First World War. Since then, Canadians have paused in a moment of silence each November 11th to honour and remember the men and women who have served, and continue to serve Canada during times of war, conflict and peace,' said MIrasty in his message.

He then went on to discuss those who served during World War II, including anyone who returned from the war who "lived with the visible scars of war the rest of their lives."

Mirasty concluded the message by urging everyone to observe two minutes of silence and to find other ways to pay tribute to our veterans.
