This Canada day my wife and I were visiting family in Moose Jaw, and we decided the best way to enjoy the hot weather was to go swimming at the outdoor pool.

My family and I were enjoying the cool water by swimming laps, diving in the deep end, and relaxing. All was going well until I looked down at my hand, only to realize my wedding ring was not on it.

The search for the ring began, first by me, then by my family, and eventually by the entire pool, but after a half hour of searching nobody found anything. I was certain I had lost it going off the high dive but couldn’t find it below in the deep end. Eventually it was time to give up and accept that it had probably just fallen through the large drain at the bottom of the diving boards. I left my contact information with the front desk, expecting to never see it again.

On August 8th, almost a month later, my wife and I received an unexpected call from the Phyllis Dewer Outdoor pool. A very excited employee on the other end said that they believed somebody had found my ring will diving in the deep end. Apparently, it had been sitting somewhere at the bottom of the deep end the entire time.

Now my wedding ring is firmly planted again on my finger. I am grateful for that and would like to say thank you to all the people who helped in bringing this story to a happy conclusion.
