UPDATED: Industrial incident in northeast forces closure of Lancaster Road

A 26-year-old male has been declared deceased after an incident in the northeast area of Moose Jaw today

UPDATE

At approximately 12:40 p.m. on August 16, the Moose Jaw Police Service along with Moose Jaw Fire and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene of an industrial accident in the northeast area of town.

Upon arrival, a 26-year-old male was pronounced deceased.

Police say the death is not considered suspicious. 

Moose Jaw Police are assisting the Saskatchewan Coroners Service and Occupational Health and Safety as they continue to investigate the incident. 

Next of kin have been notified and no names or further details have been released.

Moose Jaw police are currently on scene of a industrial incident in the northeast area of the city.

While police continue to investigate, residents are advised to use use alternate routes, avoiding Lancaster Road at Diefenbaker Drive.

There is no threat to the public.
