In pictures: Every Child Matters grand entry powwow

The second annual Every Child Matters traditional powwow was held at the Western Development Museum (WDM) and took place at 6 p.m. on Sept. 29. 

The powwow is a celebration of Indigenous culture and has deep roots in tradition.

The event followed the opening ceremony held earlier in the day from 10:30 a.m. until noon.

The next grand entry event is planned for Saturday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m., followed by a third at 6 p.m., and a fourth and final on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m.
