Moose Jaw and the surrounding area is seeing winter road conditions in all directions, and the Department of Highways is recommending caution due to slush, icy sections, drifting snow, and poor visibility.

Highways asks residents to consider postponing any non-essential travel until conditions improve.

Traveling Highway 1 going east to Swift Current is currently not recommended, like much of the area around Swift Current, as the wet conditions and poor visibility are a hazard.

Highway 2 southbound is also seeing conditions that do not recommend travel, with a winter storm warning in effect for the entire area.

Southern Saskatchewan is expecting a low-pressure system to continue bringing wind and snow this direction, resulting in low visibility and wet road conditions, until at least tomorrow.

For up-to-date road conditions, check the Highway Hotline before attempting travel.
