If you have you received a suspicious email that appears to have some connection to Saskatchewan Polytechnic, you are not alone.

The Moose Jaw Police Service and Saskatchewan Polytechnic are advising the public about a new phishing scam.

Fraudulent emails have been circulating using subject lines such as “Document Pending” or “Saskatchewan Polytechnic — Time Jobs Opportunity.” If you do receive such a message, you are advised to delete the email immediately.

As always when you receive a suspicious email, do not click on any of the links, do not open any attachments, and do no reply to the message itself.

MJPS has already received one complaint regarding this scam and will be investigating.

If you have been a victim of fraud through a phishing scam, please contact the police immediately.
