UPDATED: Grass fire leads to damaged vehicle

A grass fire that led to property damage has the Moose Jaw Police Service asking the public for assistance.

Fire and police services were called into action at around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 15 for a grass fire burning in the Hamilton Flats area in the southwest of the city.

While the Moose Jaw Fire Department successfully contained the blaze, a motorcycle that had been severely damaged by the fire was later located in the area.

Police informed the public later in the day that the owner of the motorcycle had been contacted.
