Galaxy Cinemas reopening its doors to the public

Movie lovers can once again enjoy films on the silver screen.

As of today, Galaxy Cinemas at the Town 'n' Country Mall is open.

Three films will be shown, including two brand new flicks. The current line-up includes the 2010 sci-fi thriller Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio, as part of a special 10th anniversary event. The new films are Unhinged starring Russell Crowe and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.

SpongeBob and Unhinged are both opening in Canada before they come to the U.S. Unhinged is not scheduled to open stateside until Aug. 21. The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run will be released to the U.S. market through video on demand in 2021. It will not be released theatrically. 

Another major film that will come to Canada first is Christopher Nolan's latest blockbuster, Tenet, which will open on Aug. 27. It will arrive in the U.S. on Sept. 3. It was originally scheduled to open on July 17 but was delayed several times due to the pandemic.

Of course, there will be lots of COVID-19 protocols in place to keep everyone safe. More information is available online.
