Fire on city's west end results in $120K in damages

The Moose Jaw Fire Department was busy last night.

On Nov. 28 at approximately 7:40 p.m., the Moose Jaw Police Service and the fire department were called to a residential fire on the 900 block of Athabasca St. West.  

The house was engulfed in flames upon arrival.  

The police evacuated neighbouring homes as a precaution but fire crews were able to contain the blaze to the residence.

No one was home at the time of the fire.

Damage to the residence is estimated at $120,000. 

Police say the incident is under investigation.
