The shrill scream of a fire alarm ripped through the Moose Jaw provincial courthouse Wednesday morning, forcing everyone out of the building and drawing the fire department to the scene.
Court was an hour into the day when the alarm went off at 10:33 a.m., which forced the courtroom to take a brief break until the problem could be resolved. Five minutes later, two fire trucks and a command vehicle appeared in front of the W. G. Davies Building on Ominica Street.
The command officer and two firefighters went into the building and, after determining that it was a false alarm, left at 10:46 a.m.
Provincial court then resumed following the brief disturbance.
