Emergency services respond to late night fire on city's east end

Fortunately, no one was hurt in a late night fire.

Just before midnight last night, the Moose Jaw Police Service and the Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to a residential fire on the 1400 block of Ninth Ave. Northeast.

The residence was engulfed in flames but police were able to establish that no one was home at the time of fire. 

Nearby residences were evacuated as a precaution.

The Moose Jaw Fire Department was able to contain the fire. No other residences were affected. Evacuated residents were then allowed to return home safely.  

No other details have been released. The incident remains under investigation.
