Driver charged after police respond to car fire early this morning

The driver of the vehicle was ultimately charged with impaired driving by drug

No one was hurt in an early morning incident involving a car fire.

Around 2 a.m. this morning the Moose Jaw Police Service responded to a report of a vehicle fire at Fairford St. East and Third Avenue N.E. 

Upon arrival, police found the vehicle engulfed in flames. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were located outside of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The driver was subsequently arrested and charged with impaired driving by drug.

Police say damage is estimated at $40,000.

No other details have been released.
