Revenue from events at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre increased 56 per cent last year to $141,386 from $90,403 in 2017.
The events cleared $23,483 – $1,512 more than the year before, according to financial statements.
Ticket sales, the largest revenue item for events, were almost double the 2017 level at $106,815 compared with $59,566.
Rental revenues amounted to $85,118, down by about $600.
The city operating grant remained at $164,507 last year, and the centre ended the year with a $4,732 surplus versus a $55,816 loss in 2017.
Most of the 2017 loss was attributed to a severance package when the manager was dismissed,
The centre increased cash on hand by one-third last year to $350,000.
