CP Holiday Train visits on a cold Moose Jaw evening

The Canada Pacific (CP) Holiday Train entertained Moose Javians with a heart-warming performance.

The Canada Pacific (CP) Holiday Train finally returned on December 6th as part of their cross-continent tour, after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

The holiday train continues to raise donations of food, money, and awareness for local food banks within communities throughout the CP network.

The train rolled into Moose Jaw’s CP Rail Yard around 4:30 p.m. highlighting its Christmas LED decorations and giving off a festive vibe.

Residents of Moose Jaw were delighted to see local Canadian musicians, award-winning Tenille Townes from Grand Prairie Alberta and Oji-Cree Toronto-based songwriter-singer Aysanabee.

These two musicians brought heartfelt performances, bringing joy to the residents of Moose Jaw on a freezing cold evening. Aysanabee performed with a Santa beard and Townes lifted everyone’s mood with her spectacular guitar-playing and hand-waving motions.

The Good-Buy to Hunger Campaign received a 10K dollar donation made to the Operations Manager of Moose Jaw Food Bank Terri Smith on behalf of the organizers, Grocery Manager of Moose Jaw Co-op Timothy Wonsiak, Gabrielle Belanger Supervisor of CP Rail Moose Jaw and Mayor Clive Tolley.

Residents gathered around CP Rail Yard with their families and wrapped themselves in warm winter clothing, as CP Rail welcomed guests with a token gift in appreciation of their attendance.

Representatives of the Food Bank were also there to receive any further donations to the Food Bank
