The walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Moose Jaw is located at 250 Thatcher Avenue.

The walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Moose Jaw will be open to individuals today, delivering Moderna vaccines to eligible individuals over the age of 18.

Located on the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds at 250 Thatcher Drive, the clinic will be open from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. No appointments are necessary to attend the clinic, and residents will be served on a first-come first-serve basis.

Current eligibility for second doses of the vaccine is at age 65 or older, or anyone who received their first dose on or before March 22.

Individuals who have been identified as a priority group by the health authority may also attend, provided they have received their letter of eligibility.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has also announced that the province will be following the guidelines outlined by the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) regarding interchanging vaccine types for second doses.

Those who received AstraZeneca as their first dose may receive a matching second dose or a mRna vaccine such as Pfizer BioNTech or Moderna.

Individuals who received a mRna vaccine as a first dose should receive a matching mRna vaccine for their second dose. If that vaccine is unavailable, another mRna vaccine can be considered interchangeable.

Those who have booked an appointment through public health’s booking tool but then attend a walk-in or drive-through clinic are reminded to cancel their booked appointment.

Wait times and updated information about all walk-in and drive-through clinics in the province can be found online at saskatchewan.ca/drive-through-vax.
