Residents aged 23 and older in Saskatchewan are now able to visit any one of the province’s public health clinics to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

As of 8 a.m. Friday morning, the age eligibility has lowered for the third time this week, as the Saskatchewan Health Authority works to wrap up the first dose portion of its vaccination plan.

The age requirement for residents living in the northern zone remains at 18+, and all previously identified priority groups, including frontline workers, first responders, healthcare workers and the clinically vulnerable, are still eligible.

Public health is expected to lower the age range further on Sunday, to include individuals aged 20 and over.

Individuals within the current eligibility groups are able to book a vaccination appointment at any of the mass immunization clinics in the province or at any participating pharmacy delivering vaccines. They may also attend a walk-in, drive-through or mobile clinic that is available.

A walk-in clinic in Moose Jaw is scheduled to be open Saturday, located at the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds.

Updates on clinic wait times are available online at saskatchewan.ca/drive-thru-vax.
