City council has appointed four people to sit on two advisory committees for the next couple of years as part of a continued effort to fill vacancies in those groups.
Council unanimously approved the appointments during its Nov. 14 regular meeting; the recommendations had been made during a previous executive committee meeting.
As part of the youth advisory committee, Emma Russell and Hannah Hipfner from Riverview Collegiate will serve a term commencing immediately and concluding on June 30, 2024, or until a successor is appointed.
As part of the cultural diversity advisory committee, Sarah Simison and Wanda Reid (as an alternate) from the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre will serve a term of office commencing immediately and concluding on Dec. 31, 2025, or until a successor is appointed.

A city spokeswoman confirmed to the Express that city administration reviewed the situation and recommended that efforts cease to collect the money since it was not recoverable.
The next regular council meeting is Monday, Nov. 27.
