Come support the Food Bank at the Mini Dish Fundraiser on July 8

Stop by the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre during your Sidewalk Days outing and test your pottery creation skills while supporting the Moose Jaw Food Bank on Saturday, July 8th.

On Saturday, July 8, the River Street Potters are hosting a Mini Dish fundraiser event to support the Moose Jaw & District Food Bank.

Anyone can stop by, and everyone is invited to test their pottery creation skills. The event will be led by experienced potters from River Street Potters and guests can make their own mini pottery dishes. These dishes are ideal to hold rings, tea bags, and similar items.

The event will run between the hours of 12 – 5 p.m. and will be hosted at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre on Main Street.

Entrance to the fundraiser event is $20 per person and can be paid by cash or cheque only.

This event is organized in partnership with the Mud Pie Girls, Moose Jaw Cultural Centre, and the River Street Potters, who have all come together to support a good cause.

The Food Bank was not able to set up a booth at this year’s Sidewalk Days due to a staffing shortage, but they plan to return next year.

For anyone seeking out their pavilion or wishing to make a contribution, donations to the Moose Jaw & District Food Bank will also be accepted at the fundraiser. Kathy, who works for the Food Bank, will be attending the fundraiser and can answer questions and accept donations.

Anyone who donates to the Moose Jaw Food Bank will receive a charitable donation receipt.

The Moose Jaw and District Food Bank seeks to end hunger in the community and operates with the vision of “Creating a healthy, hunger-free community with adequate, nutritious food that is accessible to all.”

The Moose Jaw Cultural Centre is located at 217 Main St. N. and is right in the midst of the Sidewalk Days festivities.

For more information about the River Street Potters and their creations, they can be reached through their Facebook page. If you’re curious about joining or the work they do, stop by on July 8th!
