The City of Moose Jaw advises that due to ongoing challenges accessing back lanes, all City waste collection has been postponed until Monday, Oct. 31.

Due to the conditions of the back alleys — which account for over 70 per cent of the collection area — and with such extreme restricted access for collection vehicles due to low hanging trees, downed trees/lines and heavy accumulation of snow and ice the city will be delaying collection for all zones until Monday.

Weekly waste collection, which was scheduled to end this month, will extend through the week of Oct.31 to Nov. 4.

Front street recycling collection will still be attempted as per the current schedule — Zone 3, Wednesday, Oct. 26. The City’s recycling contractor, Loraas Disposal, will attempt to collect recycling as per the regular schedule the rest of this week. However, If you require immediate recycling service residents can use the bulk blue bin depot located on the 1000 block of High St W.

The City thanks you for your patience and reminds residents to use the Report An Issue feature at www.moosejaw.ca or on the free City app to report any issues with missed collections, broken trees/branches or any other matter for which the City provides service.
