Building permits issued by city hall to November 30 increased 19.4 per cent over the same time frame last year.
Construction increased $4.47 million to $29.1 million with 249 permits compared with 234 last year.
Housing construction still lagged last year with 18 single family dwellings worth $5.4 million this year. Last year there were 27 dwellings valued at $10.1 million to the end of November.
November permits were up this year to $1.49 million from $543,000 last year.
Permits last month included five new dwellings worth $1.04 million, $130,000 alterations at Saskatchewan Polytech, and $30,000 for retail and office alterations.
