MOOSE JAW — The City of Moose Jaw, on behalf of SaskPower, advises of minor traffic disruptions this week for a daylighting project.

Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 27, SaskPower’s contractors will be daylighting, which involves digging small holes to safely locate underground utilities like water, gas and communication lines. This is in preparation for the installation of new underground power lines in 2026.

The SaskPower project will involve work at five locations:

  • One site is in the alley near 2nd Avenue NW.
  • Two sites will temporarily affect a few parking stalls on Fairford Street W.
  • Two additional sites will require single-lane closures on 1st Avenue NW, alternating between northbound and southbound traffic.
