Child struck by vehicle in Moose Jaw

A scary incident has police reminding drivers to stay alert and slow down due to icy road conditions.

On Tuesday morning around 8:30 a.m. police, fire, and EMS responded to an accident at the intersection of Wellington Drive and Arlington Avenue on the city's southwest side. 

A child crossing Wellington Drive was struck by an eastbound vehicle. They were taken to hospital with minor injuries.  

The driver was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian at an intersection under the Traffic Safety Act.
