Anyone planning on taking public transportation this afternoon will notice a few changes.
The City of Moose Jaw says that, due to circumstances beyond their control, the following changes have been made for today, June 19:
- The afternoon “school run,” which includes stops that accommodate students from local high schools, has been cancelled;
- The Sunningdale/Westmount routes will operate on a Saturday schedule from 2:35 p.m. to 3:55 p.m.
This means that there is only one bus available for the two routes. Thus, at 2:35 the Westmount bus will leave downtown and carry on the Westmount Route, arriving back downtown at 3:15 and carrying on to the Sunningdale Route.
An earlier press release noted the “school run” was cancelled this morning due to a shortage in staff.
The bus did make these stops, although not on a schedule that would allow for students to get to school on time.
