Chamber to host online event for group and citizen of the year awards

Announcements of the winners and presentation of awards will occur on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 11:45 a.m.

Residents will have to tune into YouTube or Facebook this year to find out who the winners are as part of the 2020 awards for group and citizen of the year.

Hosted by the Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce, the Citizen and Group of the Year awards recognize citizens’ significant contributions to the city’s social and economic quality of life, according to a chamber news release. These awards increase public awareness of the contributions and provide a well-deserved tribute.

Announcements of the winners and presentation of awards will occur on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 11:45 a.m., via virtual presentation live-streamed on the chamber’s social media pages. Also to be featured this year are a CAE Inc. presentation and awards from the Heritage Advisory Committee.

The nominees for the 2020 Group of the Year are:

  • WOW Factor Media

The nominees for the 2020 citizen of the year are:

  • Nick Hennink
