The local Dairy Queen (DQ) in Moose Jaw will be participating in Miracle Treat Day on Aug. 11 to raise money for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. DQ is encouraging children and families to continue this 20-year tradition of making miracles happen.
The proceeds from every Blizzard Treat at participating DQ stores in Moose Jaw and Emerald Park are going towards the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, which is one of 12 Children’s Miracle Network hospital foundations in Canada. Whatever is raised will stay local, meaning that every dollar donated will go directly to the local Canadian children’s hospital foundation from each community.
Three million in-person and virtual visits were made to children by local children’s hospitals across Canada. DQ employees, franchisees, volunteers, and stakeholders come together to aid in raising funds that allow children’s hospitals to provide the best care possible. This partnership between DQ and the Children’s Miracle Network began 38 years ago in 1984, and since then over $46 million has been raised to date in Canada.
