BREAKING: Highway 2 north of city closed after collision

The highway is currently closed, and detours are in place, but motorists should expect delays in the area. They should follow the instructions of emergency personnel on scene.

Moose Jaw RCMP are responding to a report of a "serious collision" on Highway 2, 30 kilometres north of Moose Jaw near Sandy Point. 

The highway is currently closed, and detours are in place, but motorists should expect delays in the area. They should follow the instructions of emergency personnel on scene.

As this investigation is in preliminary stages, RCMP does not have additional details to share.

STARS Air Ambulance has been dispatched to the scene, based on a post the organization made on its social media channel. However, police have not said whether any injuries have resulted from the crash. 

The Highway Hotline says Highway 2 was closed between Tuxford and Chamberlain.
