For the eleventh year in a row, the annual Bell Let’s Talk Day is hitting social media to raise both funds and awareness for mental health support across Canada.
The social media campaign is active all day Thursday, with Bell Canada pledging to donate five cents to mental health initiatives for every social media post that uses the campaign hashtag, #BellLetsTalk.
Bell customers are also encouraged to text and call away today, as every message sent and phone call made will also contribute five cents to the cause, as will every time someone uses the Bell Let’s Talk Facebook frame or Snapchat filter.
Every view of Bell’s official campaign video on its various platforms will also contribute five cents to the cause.
Today, every view of this video helps create positive change. All you need to do is watch it and Bell will donate 5¢ more to Canadian mental health initiatives. Retweet to help spread the word! #BellLetsTalk pic.twitter.com/hK1p4cJAYM

Bell Let’s Talk Day is taking place across all social media platforms imaginable, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
With each engagement raising funds for mental health support, millions of people across Canada have already joined in the conversation this year to lend a hand — and voice — including many Moose Javians.
Each and every day brings its special challenges and rewards. Last year year brought a whole new set that we haven't had to deal with as a society before. It has brought mental health to the forefront in spite or because of all the other issues going on. Today is #BellLetsTalk

Let’s take a second to talk about mental health: With so many of us separated from one another over this last year,...

The campaign’s goal is to encourage people across the country to engage in a positive conversation about mental health, in order to help reduce stigma and foster a new perspective on mental health.
Bell Let’s Talk focuses on promoting anti-stigma, the importance of care and access to support, advancing research, and encouraging workplace leadership.
With COVID-19 still affecting so many lives, the national campaign is hoping to relieve some of the stress that many individuals are feeling on their mental health due to the pandemic.
Last year, the campaign raised a record amount of $7.7 million, adding to the overall total funding commitment of $113 million raised in the last 10 years.
