The Liberals remain in power after last night’s election.

Justin Trudeau’s party picked up 158 seats, good enough for a minority government. That fell shy of the 170 needed for a majority, and well below the 184 seats picked up in the 2015 election.

Erin O'Toole's Conservatives picked up 119 seats.

The Block Quebecois won 34 seats, the NDP 25, and the Green Party picked up two seats.

People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier failed to win his own riding of Beauce. Annamie Paul of the Green Party also lost in her riding of Toronto Centre.

Once again, the Conservatives won all 14 ridings in Saskatchewan.

Of course, that includes Moose Jaw – Lake Centre – Lanigan, where former mayor Fraser Tolmie was elected with 61 per cent of the vote. Talon Regent of the NDP came in second with 18.7 per cent, followed by Chey Craik of the People's Party of Canada with 11.6 per cent, Katelyn Zimmer of the Liberals with six per cent, David Craig Townsend of the Maverick Party with 1.6 per cent, and Isaiah Hunter of the Green Party with 1.1 per cent.
