9 patios to enjoy in Moose Jaw this summer

Who doesn't love a good patio afternoon during the summer?

There’s nothing more satisfying than sipping a cold beverage in the sunny, summer weather — except, perhaps, having that beverage made for you. And with the recent improvement in temperature, patio season is here — hopefully to stay.

Here’s a quick list of the patios and outdoor decks at local restaurants to check out on those hot summer days.

Boston Pizza — 111 Manitoba St. E. or 1650 Main St. N.

Both the downtown location and the Thatcher Drive location have an outdoor patio that is family friendly and full service.

Brown’s Socialhouse — 11 River St. W.

Brown’s is right downtown and offers perhaps the shadiest option of patios, for those looking to enjoy the warmth but not the direct sun.

Grant Hall — 402 Main St. N.

The historic hotel features a full dining hall with a gourmet menu, as well as a rooftop patio that has hosted a number of events in the city’s history.

Great Canadian Brewhouse — 1251 Main St. N.

The patio at the Brewhouse is large, with a raised section with padded couches, and is perfect for afternoon drinks or for supper with the family. Minors are welcome until 8 p.m.

Hopkin’s Dining Parlour — 65 Athabasca St. W.

Stop by Hopkin’s Dining Parlour and enjoy the cozy patio, which may be small but offers a great atmosphere.

Montana’s — 301 Thatcher Dr. E.

Nothing pairs with BBQ better than an outdoor deck to enjoy it on, and Montana’s can provide both for the whole family with minimal work for you.

Original Joe’s — 930 Main St. N.

As a lounge, OJ’s large patio offers a casual atmosphere for appetizers and drinks, with overhead heaters so you can enjoy the outdoor evening air, even after the sun goes down.

Rock Creek Tap & Grill — 857 Thatcher Dr.

For a nice meal with the family, Rock Creek offers a restaurant and separate lounge, with a patio area for both.

Rosie’s on River Street — 11 River St. W.

With a few adorable tables lining the front of the building, Rosie’s patio serves both their famous burgers and drinks from local breweries through the summer sunshine.
