9 new COVID-19 cases, 2 more recoveries

Saskatchewan has nine new cases to report for June 17.
 
Seven of the new cases are in the Far North region, while two are in the Saskatoon area.
 
There are now 693 reported COVID-19 cases in the province, including 47 active cases.  

Two more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 633.
 
One person is receiving inpatient care, while another is in intensive care. Both are being treated in Saskatoon.
 
Of the 693 cases in the province:

  • 146 cases are travellers;
  • 417 are community contacts (including mass gatherings);
  • 82 have no known exposures; and
  • 48 are under investigation by local public health.

On a regional level, 284 of the cases are from the Far North, 184 are from the Saskatoon area, 112 from the North, 80 from the Regina area, 19 from the South, and 12 from the Central region.

Thirteen deaths have been reported to date.
 
A total of 57,217 COVID‐19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.
