81 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death reported, 98 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (17), Regina (14), North West (13), North Central (7), South West (7), South Central (7), Far North East (4), Far North West (3), North East (3), Central East (3), and South East (2)

There is one new death to report today in the 80-plus age group from the Saskatoon zone. 

That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 554.

There are 81 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 11, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (17), Regina (14), North West (13), North Central (7), South West (7), South Central (7), Far North East (4), Far North West (3), North East (3), Central East (3), and South East (2). 

Five of the seven new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

One case is pending residence information.  

One case with pending residence information was assigned to the Central East zone. 

Fifteen cases tested out of province were added to the Far North East (9), Saskatoon (3), Far North West (1), North East (1), and South East (1) zones. 

There are now 47,764 reported cases, including 899 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 78 (6.4 per 100,000).  

As of June 10, 11,504 variants of concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,721), Saskatoon (1,965), South East (1,103), South Central (839), North West (715), Central East (626), North Central (536), South West (388), Far North West (274), Central West (120), North East (75), Far North East (74), and Far North Central (1). There are 67 screened VOCs with residence pending.

No new lineage results were reported for Variants of Concern today. Of the 6,199 VOCs with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing in Saskatchewan, 5,932 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 208 are Gamma (P.1), 49 are Delta (B.1.617.2) and 10 are Beta (B.1.351).

An additional 15,212 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 860,651. 

The 15,212 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered to residents living in the following zones: Saskatoon (3,959), Regina (3,946), South East (1,278), Central East (1,069), North Central (987), North East (710), Central West (669), North West (666), South Central (623), Far North East (414), South West (396), Far North West (188), and Far North Central (12). There were 295 doses administered with zone of residence pending.

There are 104 people in hospital. Eighty-seven people are receiving inpatient care, including one patient from Manitoba, in the following zones: Saskatoon (30), Regina (28), North West (13), North Central (5), South Central (5), Central East (4), South West (1), and South East (1). Seventeen people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (6), North Central (4), Regina (4), North West (1), Central East (1), and South West (1). 

Ninety-eight more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 46,311 recoveries.

There were 2,165 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 10. To date, 884,309 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
