80 new COVID-19 cases, 53 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West (28), Saskatoon (11), South East (7), Far North Central (6), North Central (6), Regina (6), North West (5), Far North East (2), Central East (2), South West (2), North East (1), and South Central (1), with three cases pending residence information

There are 80 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on July 31, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West (28), Saskatoon (11), South East (7), Far North Central (6), North Central (6), Regina (6), North West (5), Far North East (2), Central East (2), South West (2), North East (1), and South Central (1). 

The new case in the South Central is located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Three cases are pending residence information.  

There are now 50,024 reported cases, including 479 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 50 (4.2 new cases per 100,000). 

There are no additional deaths to report today. The provincial total remains at 578.

A total of 12,356 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,831), Saskatoon (2,149), South East (1,156), South Central (892), North West (872), Central East (654), North Central (639), South West (416), Far North West (337), Central West (150), Far North East (87), North East (86), and Far North Central (4). There are 83 screened VOCs with residence pending.

An additional 5,308 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,411,497.

There are 46 people in hospital. Thirty-five people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (17), Regina (12), North Central (3), Far North West (1), North West (1), and South East (1). Eleven people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (5), Regina (5), and North Central (1).

Fifty-three more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 48,967 recoveries.

There were 1,810 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on July 29. To date, 962,337 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
